Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field of inflammation, including new technologies and modalities, and incorporate them into projects to understand mechanism of action (MOA) of biological pathways. Where necessary, develop and implement innovative and robust methodologies, protocols, and analytical tools to advance projects.
Establish robust ex vivo, in vitro, in vivo and in silico assays to help translate newly identified pathways and targets into clinical programs within the inflammation therapeutic area.
Conduct and supervise data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scientific results with effective communication; relay the scientific vision, strategy, and results of the projects to various internal and external audiences, such as senior leadership and conference attendees. Publish impactful discoveries in high impact scientific journals.
Identify and pursue new opportunities for scientific innovation and growth, facilitate and make informed decisions on business development opportunities to support the broader mission of Amgen.
Establish and maintain effective collaborations and relationships with internal and external industry and academic partners.
Ensure compliance with the ethical, regulatory, and quality standards and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD and, relevant post-doc where applicable, and 4 years of drug discovery experience OR
Master's degree and 7 years of drug discovery experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 9 years of drug discovery experience
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Immunology, molecular Immunology, biochemistry, or related field.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in the biotechnology industry or academia
Proven track record of leading and managing successful and impactful scientific projects
Strong knowledge and expertise in the field of Inflammation and Immunology and its applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
