    Scientist - Translational Immunology
    What you will do

    Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will independently develop and implement cell-based in vitro experiments to investigate the safety risks of drug candidates across Amgen's Oncology, Inflammation, Cardiometabolic, Rare Disease, and Biosimilar pipeline.

    • Develop and implement mechanism-based in vitro model systems, including advanced cellular models (e.g., 3D cultures, organoids), to evaluate organ toxicities.
    • Apply advanced immunological techniques, including multiparametric flow cytometry, ELISA/MSD/Luminex, and ex vivo analyses to assess immune-mediated toxicities.
    • Maintain and analyze various cell types, including tumor cell lines, primary cells, immune cells, and human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
    • Collaborate on mechanistic investigations of toxicity and support the development and validation of novel immunological assays and screening technologies across therapeutic areas.
    • Present research findings to cross-functional teams and contribute to assay design and project strategy through literature-based evaluations.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • PhD or MD in the field of cell biology, immunology or related disciplines

    Or

    • Master's degree with 2 years of research experience in the field of cell biology, immunology or related disciplines

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong foundational training in immunology with demonstrated expertise in cellular immunology and cell culture techniques.
    • Hands-on experience with human iPSCs and advanced cellular models, such as 3D cultures or organoids.
    • Proven ability to independently drive projects, contribute to project design, and solve complex scientific challenges.

    The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

    Salary Range
    131,588.00 USD - 150,335.00 USD
