As Senior Associate Software Engineer you'll work at the intersection of science, data, and innovation. You'll collaborate with world-class experts across domains to build high-impact digital solutions that accelerate research, streamline operations, and empower better patient outcomes.
The Senior Associate Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.
You will be part of a team specifically focusing on Global CRM and Marketing capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best in class technologies, having Salesforce.com as core architecture & relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Configure and maintain the functional objects of SFMC
Help and support users to how best use SFMC functionality and Journey builder
Assist in gathering requirements to continuously improve the SFMC platform
Create and maintain system interface diagrams, functional designs, and technical specifications
Collaborate with vendors and information technology to prioritize, launch and implement new tools and system enhancements.
Participate in the Agile development process and DevOps model
Collaborate with the Platform team and adhere to the deployment and releases management process.
Develop and complete unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software
Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently
Maintain high standards of code quality, implementing code reviews, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage

Minimum requirements:
Master's degree with 1 -3 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related
Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of Information Systems experience
2+ years working on Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Partner Certification
Integration experience with Veeva CRM & Salesforce Marketing cloud
Hands on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Experience with Journey Builder experience, API skills and SQL
Experience in SFMC Models (Email Studio, Mobile Connect, Journey builder, Web Studio, Automation studio and Contact builder)
Knowledge on SQL language applied to SFMC
Hands-on experience with SFMC APIs and integration with external systems
Understanding and experience with Ampscript and SSJS
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Preferred requirements:
Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret minimally complex situations/problems
Knowledge in programming frontend languages (HTML and CSS)
Salesforce & Safe certification are advantageous
Knowledge of Veeva Platform
Previous experience in healthcare industry
