What You'll Be Doing:
Audit existing AI tool integrations in DPF development workflows, including code generation, review, testing, and documentation. The DPF (Data Processing Framework) team develops and maintains a framework for post-processing simulation data. The team enables engineers to efficiently read, transform, and visualize large-scale simulation results across Ansys products.
Benchmark current usage against Synopsys internal guidelines and industry best practices.
Identify gaps and propose concrete improvements or new tools to adopt for the team.
Produce internal documentation such as guides, how-tos, and best practices for AI tooling adoption.
Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to drive awareness and adoption of recommended tools.
Collaborate closely with developers to gather feedback and iterate on your proposals.
What You'll Need:
Currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude).
Basic understanding of software development workflows (version control, CI/CD, code review).
Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation in English.
Preferred: Experience with Python or C++ development, exposure to mutiphysics simulation, and exposure to prompt engineering or LLM evaluation.
Curious and proactive mindset, eager to explore new tools and technologies autonomously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and presentations.
Analytical and organized approach to auditing processes and synthesizing findings.
Good listener, comfortable collecting and incorporating feedback from developers.
