Position summary

Performs moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
Understands and employs best practices.
Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
Understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
Works under the general supervision of a development manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Optics, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.
Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Optics, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related position.
Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- C Experience with Finite Element simulation including LS-DYNA, Ansys, and CAD modeling;
- Experience with C++, Python, and front-end UI;
- Experience Data structure, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
