    As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate Ansys products.

    In this internship, you will support our EBU team. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting Jan 2026 and concluding in Apr 2026. This is a fully remote opportunity.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build tools that automate software development/testing infrastructure processes.

    • Advance software robustness by testing and verifying defect fixes.

    • Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results.

    • Learn and employ the best software practices including design and code review.

    • Experience advanced source code management, full life-cycle-software development

    • Attend meetings, progress reviews and get a feel for real life experience as advanced coder.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing a BS or MS degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, numerical methods, circuit simulation, device modeling or related technical degree

    • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in Canada

    • Good programming skill in with Python or C++.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Candidates with high levels of motivation in coding, who participate in programming competitions or maintain / publish code in GitHub etc. This is particularly important for Bachelors candidates without any other specialization

    • Candidates familiar with OpenGL concepts, rendering, scene visualization, triangulation of geometries etc are welcome.

    • Familiarity with Finite element mesh generation is a plus point.

    • Knowledge of scripting and shells like csh, bash, VS-Code

    • Prior experience of using ANSYS products or other engineering software is a plus
