As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate Ansys products.
In this internship, you will support our EBU team. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting Jan 2026 and concluding in Apr 2026. This is a fully remote opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build tools that automate software development/testing infrastructure processes.
Advance software robustness by testing and verifying defect fixes.
Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results.
Learn and employ the best software practices including design and code review.
Experience advanced source code management, full life-cycle-software development
Attend meetings, progress reviews and get a feel for real life experience as advanced coder.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, numerical methods, circuit simulation, device modeling or related technical degree
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in Canada
Good programming skill in with Python or C++.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with high levels of motivation in coding, who participate in programming competitions or maintain / publish code in GitHub etc. This is particularly important for Bachelors candidates without any other specialization
Candidates familiar with OpenGL concepts, rendering, scene visualization, triangulation of geometries etc are welcome.
Familiarity with Finite element mesh generation is a plus point.
Knowledge of scripting and shells like csh, bash, VS-Code
Prior experience of using ANSYS products or other engineering software is a plus
