Your Role:
As a Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting, you will play a key role within Aptiv's Corporate Finance team. You'll focus on the oversight and execution of accounting and financial reporting activities across designated entities-ensuring compliance with both local statutory requirements and U.S. GAAP. This role is ideal for an experienced, proactive accounting professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for accuracy, collaboration, and results.
You will also support tax-related processes, audits, and transfer pricing documentation, while coordinating the work of a small team of financial analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations and lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Prepare and review statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities
Coordinate with auditors by gathering and providing supporting documentation during statutory audits
Prepare calculations for income tax provisions and deferred tax assets/liabilities
Support tax audits by delivering accurate data, analyses, and explanations
Provide information for transfer pricing documentation, including intercompany transaction details
Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and alignment with Aptiv's internal policies
Maintain oversight of local chart of accounts
Lead and mentor a small team of financial analysts to drive operational excellence
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong focus on statutory reporting and technical accounting
Hands-on experience preparing statutory financial statements and managing external audits
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and local accounting standards
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
Strong command of English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills
Self-motivated, curious, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
