YOUR ROLE
As a Business Development Executive on our team, you'll play a critical role in identifying, creating, and qualifying new business opportunities for Wind River. You will proactively drive prospecting activities, build targeted campaigns, and work closely with Account Managers and Marketing to expand our pipeline across strategic accounts and priority industries.
This role blends structured outreach, account-based research, and self-driven initiatives, with a strong focus on quality, relevance, and long-term value creation.
In your daily job you will:
Proactively prospect and identify new opportunities within target accounts, industries, and segments aligned with Wind River's strategy
Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns based on account insights, use cases, and industry trends
Research customer environments, business challenges, and decision-makers to create highly relevant engagement
Qualify inbound and outbound leads and convert them into sales-ready opportunities
Collaborate closely with Account Managers, Marketing, and Product teams to align messaging and prioritize efforts
Maintain accurate pipeline data and activity tracking in CRM systems
Continuously test, refine, and improve prospecting approaches based on results and feedback
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
Proficiency in prospecting and pipeline development, ideally within enterprise software, embedded systems, or technology-driven industries
Demonstrated ability to identify customer pain points and translate them into compelling business conversations
Ability to work independently and take ownership of campaigns, initiatives, and results
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities over pure volume
Comfort working in a matrixed, global organization with cross-functional teams
Additional language skills an advantage
