Position Summary
This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.
As a Vehicle Core Feature Owner System Engineer, you'll be responsible for one or more functions of the Vehicle or Vehicle Subsystem end-to-end development.
In this role, you will ensure that the products and technology meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will also manage customer communication, requirements, and expectations throughout the product development lifecycle.
Your Role
Creates Change Requests for Customer / Stakeholder Requests out of scope with support from Vehicle Systems Engineer
Your Background:
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, electrical, or related field of study)
2+ years of professional experience in the Automotive Industry.
Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge.
Cross-functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity.
Ability to effectively manage several projects at once.
Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile.
Proven record of taking customer requirements from design to production.
Familiarity with embedded systems designs.
Familiarity with microprocessor/controller-based hardware designs, System/Software Architectures for automotive designs, and network topology
Familiarity with Functional Safety or Cybersecurity knowledge/background
Proven track record working with ADAS.
Proven track record of working with system/software development processes (Automotive SPICE) and tools.
Experience with vehicle protocols and diagnostics.
Experience with embedded hardware and serial communication protocols.
Proven record of working with configuration management systems (Polarion, SharePoint, etc)
Availability to travel 20%-30%.
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience working in an agile development team and with agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
