Role and responsibilities
The WF Optics Fabrication Architect Manager will:
Understand and interpret ASML's technical roadmaps, collaborating with WF Technology & Development to correlate strategic vision to WF Optics' existing and future competencies
Organize team members and projects to most efficiently secure ASML's strategic vision, including identification/closure of gaps related to equipment, tooling/fixturing, personnel, and technology/competency
Function as primary management liaison between Factory and Program/Research/D&E, providing clear/concise communication at regular intervals
Coach team members to interface with cross-sector stakeholders to: align and mitigate product design risks, define and fabricate functional models, and ensure timely release of manufacturable product designs
Provide team with technical oversight/guidance, ensuring development and delivery of complex optical structures in alignment with functional/quality and schedule requirements
Manage new product/technology portfolio via Project Lifecycle methodology, serving as initial Owner from Wilton Factory and maintaining 6P=P from feasibility to production-readiness phases
Establish and maintain an internal reporting structure, advising Senior Management of project status, plans, and escalation of help requests
Recruit, onboard, train and develop team members via structured 1:1 sessions, ad-hoc feedback, and technical mentorship. Ensure clear definition and acknowledgement of career growth paths that benefit employees and ASML
Build a culture of innovative problem-solving, employing fabrication and metrology methods that including, but not limited to:
Demonstrate exemplary communication in differing business settings, providing expert-level technical detail and concise management-level summaries and business proposals
Define, track, and regularly report on aligned performance metrics to Senior Management: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost
Education and experience
Post-graduate degree in engineering or scientific field(s)
10+ years work experience in high-tech, production and new product introduction environments
5yrs+ people management or team lead experience
Has interfaced with multiple levels of leadership regarding technical and management topics
Hands-on/practical experience with multiple fabrication disciplines and glass/ceramic materials
History of completing individual and team-oriented tasks under tight deadlines
Skills
Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability
Adaptability to changing processes and plans in a high-pressure, dynamic work environment
Ability to interact and influence at various organizational levels to achieve short and long-term goals
Ability to analyze data, identify performance trends, and drive discussion/action with various stakeholders
Ability to identify and develop talent in multi-disciplinary technical teams
