list and Support Services Contamination Control Team has a 2025 summer internship position for undergraduate and graduate students of Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related Engineering studies. There is a high preference for candidates with a background/experience in manufacturing, and an interest in Continuous Improvement.
The main responsibility of the Contamination Control Intern is to assist in Manufacturing process evaluations and to deliver structural improvement projects that reduce the number of contamination-causing activities and sources. The following responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
30% in Cleanroom monitoring parts, processes, and cleanroom facility
30% Spent with Manufacturing Engineering on process improvements and results
30% Spent documenting results and writing guidelines
5% Spent with Design Engineering on material design changes and best practices
5% Spent in meetings
Education and experience
Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering.
Master's degree a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Skills
Previous experience in running controlled experiments.
Previous hands-on experience using test equipment.
Experience using statistical process control for the purpose of evaluating trends in data.
Experience evaluating or researching components for wear and tear (and material transfer).
High preference for candidates with a background in manufacturing.
The candidate needs to be self-motivated and to work independently on specific tasks.
Also, the candidate must work well in a dynamic environment and be a good team player.
Strong communication skills and technical writing abilities

This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT . It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, training courses and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.
