    This new role on Atlassian's Sustainability team will drive a customer engagement program and partner across Atlassian to align our sustainability reporting and narrative with customer, investor, and internal stakeholder expectations and requirements. Collaborating closely with teams like Sales, Marketing, Investor Relations, and Communications, the Director of Sustainability Reporting and Engagement will be responsible for ensuring our sustainability disclosures are transparent, impactful, and integrated into Atlassian's core business.

    In this role you will:

    • Drive the customer engagement portfolio for the Sustainability team, aligning communications and disclosures to customer expectations

    • Lead and program manage the annual sustainability report end-to-end

    • Recommend and execute ways to transform sustainability reporting to meet our audiences where they are (e.g. web content, how-to guides, etc)

    • Translate Atlassian's sustainability programs, progress, and compliance readiness into customer-ready materials such as FAQs and explainer documents

    • Provide white-glove support for key customer engagements, including Customer Advisory Boards, direct CIO interactions, and Atlassian-hosted events

    • Lead the customer sustainability requests program, providing regular updates and trend analysis

    • Develop stories about how customers and Atlassian teams are using our products to advance environmental and social progress.

    • Driving a strategy, programming, and narratives for sustainability efforts at Atlassian's key customer conferences, TEAM US and EU

    • Lead ESG rater and ranker programs, including updates and trend analysis, and drive investor engagement initiatives

    • Recommend and implement improvements across customer and rater engagement programs to meet evolving expectations

    • Help quantify the impact of Atlassian's Sustainability program based on sales, investment, and other business activities

    • Drive internal engagement efforts, including Sales enablement and awareness resources

    • Contribute to the Sustainability Team's policy advocacy and external events efforts

    • Benchmark and analyze corporate sustainability reporting and practices

    • Build strong relationships and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Communications, and Investor Relations teams

    On your first day, we'll expect you have:

    • Deep experience and expertise in sustainability, ESG, or a related field

    • Experience leading sustainability reporting and disclosure initiatives

    • Demonstrated experience in customer engagement, Sales enablement, communications, or marketing

    • Exceptional written communications skills, including narrative development, messaging, editing, and proofing

    • Excellent relationship-building, and a track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, IR, Comms)

    • Experience using stakeholder engagement, interpersonal, communications, and influencing skills to drive change, lead complex projects, and get things done with limited authority

    • Proven ability to translate complex sustainability concepts into accessible and accurate materials

    • Strong attention to detail, program management, and facilitation skills

    • Background in technology or SaaS environments preferred

    Compensation

    At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

    Zone A: $163,800 - $213,850

    Zone B: $147,600 - $192,700

    Zone C: $136,800 - $178,600

    This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
