We're hiring a Senior Collaboration Solutions Engineer, reporting to the Workplace Collaboration Manager. You are an experienced AV Engineer, with a background in designing and delivering high end experiences in conference rooms, town hall spaces, and studios through builds, feedback, proactive improvements and maintenance.
What you'll do
This role will help advance AV Technology at Atlassian across AMER, EMEA and globally. Your responsibilities will include designing, deploying and managing functionality of studios, town hall spaces, conference rooms, and digital signage. You will ensure that all systems are operational and that new setups are ready for success from day one.
You will act as an engineer supporting the Content Studio team, ensuring the proper functioning of broadcast systems, IT systems, and networked storage systems.
A genuine fascination with AV technology and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to all levels of end users are essential for this position. You will coordinate with vendors for builds, refreshes, and maintenance.
You will manage relationships with vendors and technicians, serving as an internal escalation point for troubleshooting and system repairs.
You will be a driving force on new builds and office refreshes, providing direction to vendors and partners on AV standards and best practices, and handing over the offices to local technicians.
You will occasionally need to help plan and run high-profile shows and events.
Your background
Over 6 years of experience in a corporate IT organization, specifically in:
Expert-level understanding of video conferencing technologies, including Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Neat video conferencing hardware, training rooms, town hall spaces, QSYS, and other audio/visual solutions.
A strong passion for workplace collaboration tools and services.
Experience planning and delivering IT/AV component of office builds and refreshes.
Solid understanding of network protocols and best practices.
Proven project leadership experience.
A commitment to continuously improving products and processes.
The ability to act as a technology leader and subject matter expert.
Experience in vendor selection and relationship management (both software and hardware).
Strong awareness of security practices and precautions.
Excellent documentation skills, and the ability to train local technicians when handing over projects.
Experience evaluating technical drawings and plans to ensure they meet business needs.
A self-starter who can work independently and is comfortable in a remote team environment.
An enthusiastic, technically proficient engineer with a thirst for knowledge and innovation.
Relevant certifications (such as CTS, Dante, QSYS, etc.) are a significant plus.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $163,200 - $217,600
Zone B: $146,900 - $195,800
Zone C: $135,400 - $180,600
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
