    Position summary

    s flexible, we prefer to have our engineers close to the teams in Berlin, Germany.

    Our Berlin office offers a dynamic and innovative working environment, providing an attractive space for creativity and collaboration within the AI unit of Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACX).

    Autodesk is a flexible hybrid-first company, allowing workers to work remotely, in an office, or a mix of both.

    You will be reporting to a Sr Manager, Machine Learning Engineering.

    Responsibilities

    • Translate CV/ML/computer graphics research into concept design-oriented products

    • Understand and prototype ideas from research papers

    • Collaborate on projects with a diverse, global team of researchers and engineers

    • Support research productization through the construction of experimental pipelines, prototypes, and reusable code

    • Implement scalable machine learning training pipelines

    • Process data and analyze feature extractions

    • Model training and hyperparameter tuning

    • Analyze errors and provide solutions to problems

    Minimum Qualifications

    • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience

    • +3 years of experience with deep learning and generative models

    • Experience with version controlling, reproducibility, and deploying machine learning models

    • Strong data modelling and data architecture skills

    • Experience with cloud services & architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.)

    • Proficiency with modern deep learning libraries and frameworks

    • Proficiency in coordinating, provisioning, and maintaining systems and compute infrastructure

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with 3D deep learning

    • Experience in handling 3D data formats, including mesh analysis and visualization

    • Experience with training & optimizing Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Denoising Diffusion Models, Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs), etc

    • Experience scaling ML training pipelines

    • Experience or interest in computational geometry and geometric methods, multi-modal deep learning and/or information retrieval

    • Knowledge of the design, manufacturing, AEC, or media & entertainment industries

    • Experience with Autodesk products, including Alias, or similar products (CAD, CAE, CAM, etc.)

    • Publications at relevant conferences & journals (e.g., NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)

    The Ideal Candidate

    • A Software Engineer with experience building and training robust machine learning systems

    • Familiar with implementing experimental pipelines and prototyping AI applications

    • Comfortable building prototypes from scratch and writing maintainable code within existing codebases

    • A curious, creative problem-solver who is excited to learn & develop new technologies

    • A fast learner & excellent communicator who can effectively collaborate across global locations
