Own the technical discovery process to uncover customer business issues and provide Autodesk solutions. Present discovery findings and solutions to connect technology to business outcomes
Build "trusted advisor" relationships by understanding customers' business processes, workflows, and technical requirements. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to provide the right knowledge during sales engagements. Demonstrate thought leadership and develop advocates within accounts to influence the success of Autodesk's solutions
Align with key customer stakeholders to secure business and technical closure of proposed solutions. Manage technical evaluations, define solution architecture, product demonstrations and pilot projects. Capture ROI metrics to quantify customer return on investment and support customer goals and outcomes
Align with customer decision makers to secure technical closure of proposed solutions. Meet annual sales goals
Collaborate with Channel Partners and Customer Success teams to ensure satisfaction and adoption. Deliver compelling presentations and messaging to drive results from executive-level down. Stay updated with industry trends and develop new ideas for revenue growth. Influence product development through customer feedback and identified business opportunities
Share Autodesk's competitive positioning, vision, and value propositions effectively with customers to differentiate and position Autodesk as a trusted partner. Including, presenting at key industry conferences
Use exceptional communication and presentation skills to clarify and summarize complex issues for C-level executives, business development leaders, designers, and engineers
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
7+ years of experience in the Design and Manufacturing Industry
Technical knowledge using Autodesk Design and Manufacturing solutions such as Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, Fusion Manage, or similar industry software
Solid understanding of the design & manufacturing product development process
Knowledge of information flow within manufacturing organizations
Innovative mindset relevant to manufacturing processes
Requirement: travel up to 50-70+% (air and car travel) to customers and Autodesk internal events
Preferred Qualifications

Great storyteller capable of adapting communication style based on the audience
Ability to take complex topics and simplify
High degree of curiosity for discovering improvement opportunities

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $152,400 and $220,550. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
