Position Summary:
Seeking a talented and experienced Key Management Service (KMS) Operations resource to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of a robust key management infrastructure. Work closely with our engineering, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain highly available and performant KMS solutions.
Responsibilities:
Fulfills requests from business users and operations, communicates technical status updates with appropriate teams, and oversees stability, resiliency, reliability, and the performance of multiple supported systems
Mentors other team members and provides technical leadership
Captures and translates business requirements into complex infrastructure and/or system design for specific implementations and collaborates with technology stakeholders, Solution Delivery Management teams, Technology Project Management teams, Solutions Engineering teams, and technical service providers for system design and deployment
Supports change implementations, proactively identifies and resolves potential issues resulting from the changes, and performs access and/or physical provisioning/deprovisioning (additions, modifications, and deletions) for infrastructure and applications
Provides consulting services to Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) and technical partners, executes procedures reliably, and escalates appropriately to solve incidents quickly
Deploy, and maintain key management infrastructure to meet security and compliance requirements.
Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of KMS Infrastructure.
Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and cryptographic keys.
Collaborate with Engineering and other cross-functional teams to implement automated workflows for key lifecycle management.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures to minimize the risk of recurrence.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to key management and cryptographic standards.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years overall work experience & a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Similar.
Hands on experience working on Linux/Unix and/or Windows server platforms
Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and key management best practices
Experience working knowledge of Hardware Security Modules (HSM) such as Thales HSM or Cipher Trust Manager.
Experience with key management systems such as AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, or Google Cloud KMS.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity of Incident and Problem Management systems like Remedy or ServiceNow.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
