    Position summary

    o lead the development and implementation of our risk management framework, ensuring alignment with both regulatory requirements and international best practices. This role requires close collaboration with joint venture stakeholders, proactive risk oversight, and the adaptation of global methodologies to local business needs. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement in risk analytics, governance, reporting as well as business engagements to support the company's strategic growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead WMC'sinvestment risk management, corporate risk management effort, and credit/counterparty risk management

    • Partner with CIOs and portfolio managers to ensure that investment risks are fully understood and consistent with our client's objectives and risk constraints

    • Work closely with function leaders of WMC, including Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Audit, to ensure key controls are consistent with firm policies and standards

    • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to provide an independent and value-added perspective into business and portfolio management activities

    • Represent RQA on various WMC committees

    • Communicate and collaborate with prospective and existing clients to articulate the firm's risk management philosophy and approach

    • Serve as WMC RQA's key point of contact with regulators

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Master or PhD in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative fields. CFA/FRM/ GARP/ PRMIA certification is preferred.

    • 10+ years of experience in risk management at a top international financial institution, experience of China onshore markets esp. wealth management company is preferred.

    • Familiar with credit instruments in China onshore market (both standard and non-standard assets)

    • Deep, focused experience in investment risk across multiple asset classes and products (e.g., Fixed Income, Equities, Multi Asset or Alternatives) will be viewed favorably

    • Experience interacting directly with Chinese regulators including NFRA, CSRC, AMAC is positive for the role.

    • Broad experience across multiple risk disciplines is preferred (i.e., investment, operational, regulatory and counterparty risk)

    • Strong quantitative background and/or an advanced degree in a quantitative field of study is a plus

    • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
