    Position summary

    financial markets / investment management industry knowledge and technical skills, you will play a key role partnering with business, technology, and BTO leaders in delivering some of the firm's most strategic, complex, and high-valued projects.

    This is not a traditional generic project management role where you are responsible only for project coordination / facilitation. We are looking for world-class problem solvers who thrive in understanding the details and are heavily involved (i.e., get your hands dirty) in the design and implementation of scalable solutions that typically integrate process, technology, and organizational change.     Your responsibilities

    • Lead project workstreams / teams and partner with business leaders to drive strategic projects including commercial opportunities, as well as complex client and technology mandates, to completion

    • Ability to pivot quickly to matters requiring immediate attention and drive to completion, including times where multiple clients may not have fully-aligned goals

    • Develop project objectives with measurable goals, roadmaps, and execution plans

    • Quickly learn relevant content and contribute to current state analysis and future state design

    • Simplify complex topics and create innovative solutions / ideas to solve problems

    • Advise business partners on workflow improvements to get the most out of our technology / identify areas for improvement in business processes and technology tools

    • Ensure solutions are fully tested, and raise / help resolve issues that put BlackRock and our clients at risk

    • Maintain a One BlackRock perspective and deliver results, which are beneficial for both individual businesses and the firm as a whole

    • Engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the firm to effectively navigate our global organization

    • Help manage communication to stakeholders / management across levels

    • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the staff's overall development

    • Stay current on global finance and technology trends impacting BlackRock

    Your experience

    • 5+ years of experience in financial services or a related industry, including experience engaging with leadership executives and successfully driving and delivering complex and impactful strategic change programs

    • Solid knowledge and understanding of investment management products and asset types, including but not limited to ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income, equities, derivatives, and alternatives

    • Experience in business process analysis, design, and implementation

    • Experience navigating a complex matrix of accountable stakeholders and global teams in multiple time zones

    • Excellent communication skills: ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes

    • Ambitious and proactive: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting

    • Ability to think on your feet: be able to suggest solutions as issues come to light

    • Demonstrated sense of curiosity and the courage to ask tough questions

    • Technical aptitude, understanding technology in a business context

    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time

    • Strongly believes in BlackRock's purpose

    • Experience with AI (artificial intelligence) /ML (machine learning), including large language models, OpenAI and Azure AI solutions a plus

    For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $189,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
