Analyze supplier quotations and source materials at the lowest total cost while balancing quality, reliability, and urgency
Maintain accurate pricing, vendor, and product data within the ERP system
Review daily potential out-of-stock situations and take proactive corrective action
Prevent and reduce overstocks through effective demand analysis and inventory controls
Manage phase-in and phase-out of new products, product revisions, and product rework as needed, ensuring FIFO compliance
Track backorders and organize product and purchasing information to support efficient operations
Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to address supply chain issues and support business initiatives
Support achievement of budgeted inventory levels and service level targets
Develop and maintain records and files related to purchasing and inventory activities
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2-4 years of purchasing, buying, or inventory management experience
Experience managing a high-SKU product mix preferred
Solid working knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain processes
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience preferred
Pay and Benefits:
US$71,000.00 - US$80,000.00 Annually
Final compensation offered will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Employees in this role are eligible to participate in the company's benefits program, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company matching, accrued vacation, floating holidays, and designated company holidays.
