Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and engineer kitchen and cleaning products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
Research and apply knowledge of materials (especially plastics), manufacturing processes (especially injection molding), and assembly techniques relevant to consumer goods.
Consider user experience, ergonomics, and CMF (Color, Material, Finish) [If applicable] during the design process.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturing (DFM/DFA) and cost-effectiveness
Stay current with design trends, new technologies, materials, and competitor products.
Manage product production using tools such as Centric, Jira, and Wrike.
Attend trade shows as needed.
Maintain the company's 2D and 3D Product Designs database.
Provide technical support for internal teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with strong design portfolio/interest), Industrial Design (with strong technical skills/portfolio), or a closely related field.
0-4 years of relevant professional experience or significant internship experience in product design or mechanical engineering roles.
Portfolio demonstrating design process, sketching, CAD modeling, and ideally prototyping/finished products is required.
Proficient in CAD, Solidworks preferred.
Strong sketching, visualization, and concept generation skills.
Solid understanding of fundamental mechanical principles, material properties, and basic manufacturing processes.
Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, workshop tools, model making).
Strong problem-solving skills and a high degree of creativity.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with housewares, kitchenware, and/or cleaning products is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with in-office presence required Tuesday through Thursday.
