    The Role at a Glance

    The Associate, Projects is responsible for supporting special project operations by assisting with project inventory, coordinating warehouse transfers, and assisting with obtaining required materials that align with projects. The position utilizes SAP to create production orders and resolve inventory discrepancies while maintaining comprehensive records. The role supports project reporting through accurate data collection, labor tracking, and cost analysis to ensure adherence to KPI metrics.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Projects Support

    • Utilize established special project processes and take ownership of maintaining comprehensive records in excel-based tracking tools for the project inventory incoming log, master schedule, and all inbound and outbound inventory transfers

    • Initiate warehouse transfer requests for project-related inventory, proactively tracking delays and engaging relevant stakeholders through established communication channels to ensure timely resolution

    • Ensure accurate ordering and timely procurement of all project components across multiple warehouse locations, aligning activities with the master schedule and operational priorities

    • Create and process production orders in SAP, ensuring accurate specification for material quantities

    • Resolve inventory discrepancies related to project inventory by performing analysis using SAP, Excel, reviewing e-mail correspondence, and leveraging other systems to identify and resolve variances

    • Create process documentation and step-by-step instructional packets for operations

    • Create and design any specialty labeling required floor operations and project usage

    Data Collection, Reporting and Administrative

    • Ensure timely and accurate input of labor hours and closing of the project to meet planned KPIs and overall reliable project reporting

    • Assist with the maintenance of project time studies and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational benchmarks

    • Assist with yearly physical inventory for projects that are aligned with inventory control standards

    Key Experience & Qualifications

    Education

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

    Experience

    • 3+ years working in a warehouse administrative or warehouse operations environment

    Software/Technical Skills

    • SAP Inventory Module

    Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills

    • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Problem solving and critical thinking with attention to detail and follow-up

    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

    • Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to providing exceptional customer care

    • Ability to adapt well to change and successfully set and adjust priorities as needed

    • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $41,600 - $49,920 per year ($20 - $24/hr)

    • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data

    About Where We Work

    Brother's corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA. Additionally, our outside sales teams work remotely within their territories, staying geographically close to the accounts they support to ensure they are always "at your side" for our customers.
