WHAT YOU'LL DO
Production Line Management
Learn and retain job knowledge related to all positions within the production line
Provide training to employees as required
Prepare assigned production line for model changeover to other model lines
Perform monthly calibration for all equipment used on production lines and maintain in the good standard at all times
Ensure tool and equipment check sheets are completed
Provide guidance, training, mentoring, coaching and development to Assemblers on the production line
Ensure production targets are met daily
Quality
Identify and execute improvements as agreed upon with Supervisor, Production
Perform quality production check sheets and inform supervisor of issues found
Exhibit leadership abilities and enforce rules, polices, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures
Perform root cause problem solving to research and eliminate production defects
Leadership Support
Know, understand, and support Brother's Strategic Culture Drivers
Place employees in the optimal position on the production line for efficiency and accuracy
Lead Team Members in the area using MDI and driving adherence to standard work
Ensure safety of employees and adherence to EHS requirements
Ensures all transactions and logs are executed correctly and in a timely manner
Ability to influence, coach, and lead others both directly and indirectly
Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and reduce costs
Consistently promote high standards through personal example
Provide feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities to optimize results and improve quality
Exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods and delegating work requirements/goals
ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education
High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience working as a skilled Assembler in a high-paced production or manufacturing facility
Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team of hourly workers in a production or manufacturing facility
Software/Technical Skills
Ability to use test equipment to troubleshoot, isolate, and repair defective products
Understand the principles of lean manufacturing and 5S
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Ability to identify and suggest quality improvement opportunities
Strong written and oral communication and ability to communicate with both internal and external parties
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to coordinate the work of team members without direct management authority
Self motivated

The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $38,300.00 - $47,840 per year ($18.42-$23.00/hr.)
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
