    The Role at a Glance

    The Manager, District Sales, LAC proactively supports the development of sales strategies and business plans, with the goal of expanding Brother sales through distributors, resellers, retailers and ecommerce in Central America and the Caribbean (part of the LAC region). This position manages distributors operating in LAC as well as specific regional direct accounts with best-in-class account management practices. The role will act as a Brother ambassador and will provide sales training to customers across the region, be the project leader in the launch of new products, becoming a market expert with respect to Brother's and competitor products, pricing, trends, etc. and report findings to team management. The Manager, District Sales, LAC works closely with internal teams, regional contractors and leads our customers to build and expand our territory presence, new partner development initiatives, and existing partnerships to deliver growth for Brother. The role will track and manage various promotional/incentive programs to increase sales effectiveness. In addition, this role provides ongoing feedback and makes recommendations that are developed to exceed sales and budget goals for the region.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Account Management

    • Develop strong relationships with distributors and retailers within the defined territory

    • Maintain a very high level of customer service and account management, while keeping the best interests of the company in terms of sales and profitability satisfied

    • Ensure sales-in, sales-out and inventory levels are in line with business goals and forecast for SOHO, SMB and ES product lines

    • Collaborate with in-market contractors to understand past sales performance and align on 6-month rolling forecast.

    • Provide timely and accurate sales forecast for Consensus meetings, identify R&Os and communicate back to sales leads

    • Identify opportunities for sales growth and execute upon those plans

    • Provide feedback to sales and marketing management for strategic decisions

    • Develop sales strategies & business plans for continued growth within the market

    Product Knowledge & Training

    • Become SOHO + ES subject matter expert in regards to product specs, pricing, end-user fit, comparison vs competition and overall market and strategies

    • Develop and execute a yearly training calendar for distributors, resellers, contractors and other partners to ensure they understand Brother's value proposition and points of difference

    Promotional/Incentive Planning & Implementation

    • Coordination of regional program letters for distributors, resellers, Marketplaces/eCommerce, retailers and other alternative channels

    • In coordination with Marketing: design and implement channel and end user programs and promotions to generate Sell out

    • Track monthly and quarterly performance of customer programs and inform results to sales, marketing and finance for incentive pay-outs

    • Develop new programs that align with overall sales objectives and help reach departmental goals

    • Stay current with market trends in a rapidly changing environment

    Administration & Reporting

    • Perform a wide variety of administrative/reporting functions, including but not limited to: preparing meeting agendas, forecasting, market reports, maintaining a proactive calendar, analyzing sales results, reviewing competitive information, planning product transitions, & reviewing internal initiatives

    Key Account Management

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability amongst all Key Accounts under scope

    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and to stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences

    • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales operations, and finance to develop accurate sales forecasts and strategic plans to meet sales targets

    • Develop and execute promotional plans and trade marketing activities to drive product visibility, increase sales, and enhance brand awareness

    Other

    • Actively manage the special pricing procedures for large opportunities

    • Coordinate with key stakeholders to increase our overall contract sales business

    • Help manage ASC and ASD service and parts network in the region to ensure Brother AtYourSide customer experience is delivered with excellence

    Key Experience & Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, or a related field

    Experience

    • 7+ years of Sales experience in a client facing role; experience in the ConsumerProducts / Electronics / Technology market in Latin America, in a Manufacturer, Wholesaler, Retailer, or other Retail/eComm market player

    2 years of experience in BMG products: Knowledge of the printer/scanner/labeling market and associated products; knowledge of industry trends and best practices

    Languages

    • Spanish - Required

    Software/Technical Skills

    • If selling BMG products: Strong understanding of "computer peripheral" area (e.g. Printer/Fax/MFC products & solutions)

    Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

    • Ability to maintain positive client relationships

    • Ability to increase sales and close on accounts

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)

    Compensation & Schedule for This Role

    This role will be a remote role. Subject to business needs, employees will travel. #LI-Remote


    Base Salary

    • The targeted base salary range for this position is $ 85,000.00 - $ 110,000.00 per year.

    • Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data.

    Additional Compensation

    • This position is eligible for a $ 26,000.00 sales bonus in annual total at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on individual performance and in alignment with company sales and bonus plans.

    • This position is also eligible for a 6.86 % bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans.

    • Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect.

    • This position is also eligible for an auto allowance paid monthly in the first pay period of each month. This auto allowance may be used in the employee's sole discretion but is intended toward maintenance of the employee's own vehicle they'll be using for business commuting. This is independent and in addition to the company's Travel & Entertainment policy, which covers mileage reimbursement and additional business travel expenses.

    About Where We Work

    Brother's corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group.
