This position directly leads and administers all activities related to all Brother insurance programs for the Americas region, coordinating all activities with brokers, Brother companies and subsidiaries. This position also supports the implementation, maintenance, and execution of business continuity plans and initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Insurance Management
Act as a trusted advisor by understanding and addressing business needs effectively
Manage the information gathering and submission of insured claims
Ensure timely collection and claims resolution
Lead investigation of disputed or complex claims
Develop collaborative relationships with relevant parties including insurance brokers and third party administrators to support the proper filing and collection of all claims
Maintain claim and loss data; use data analytics to identify claim trends and make recommendations to improve controls
Monitor monthly inventory levels and request additional limits if necessary
Oversee worker's compensation codes and payroll process for assigning codes
Manage insurance audits, facility visits by carriers, and provide independent assessment of loss control recommendations
Manage subsidiary insurance programs and ensure accuracy allocations of premiums on global program
Conduct contract reviews, confirming insurance provisions comply with established guidelines and consult with external partners as needed
Ensure appropriate company coverage for various events, such as sponsored events, trips, activities, and bids
Approve issuance of Certificates of Insurance
Operational Risk Management
Partner with management and internal stakeholders to develop and update detailed and comprehensive business continuity and incident response plans
Assist in the development of policies, procedures, templates, standards, and documentation in support of the deployment, management, and sustainability of the business continuity program
Assist in the development and coordination of training and awareness communications and exercise activities
Provide oversight of business continuity exercises with relevant departments and other stakeholders
Insurance Renewal Process
Lead insurance program renewal placements including renewal application, underwriting, data preparation and data gathering
Collaborate with insurance brokers, and other departments as it relates to corporate insurance renewals, claims, invoices, coverage questions, and various other insurance-related matters
Manage the invoice and payment process for all placements
Crisis Response
Support the Risk team in response to business interruption by assisting management with development, coordination, and execution of all business continuity and emergency management plans and related activities, including business continuity insurance claims management
Assist with crisis response activities which may require occasional work outside of standard business hours to support critical business needs
Serve as a designee for crisis response plans as needed
ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Risk Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics Required
Experience
Minimum 5 years Required
Varied risk and insurance experience including:
Expertise collecting, analyzing, evaluating potential loss hazards, and researching and advising individual legal entities of their insurance needs based on the business
Experience and familiarity with business continuity planning (BCP) best practices
Licenses and Certifications
Disaster Recovery Institute International Certified Business Continuity Professional (DRII CBCP) or equivalent Preferred
Business Continuity Institute Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI CBCI) or equivalent Preferred
Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Risk and Insurance Management Society Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS CRMP) or equivalent Preferred
Software/Technical Skills
MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Intermediate Required
Knowledge of risk management disciplines, including information security risk, information technology risk, vendor risk, and operational risk Intermediate Required

ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid
The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $80,000.00-$98,000.00 per year.
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives.
