This role is the primary owner of the relationship with our local Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider's management team ensuring that we establish and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring that efficiency, safety, quality, cost and productivity goals are achieved. This position creates an environment of collaboration and respect among the various departments such as Corporate Finance, Information Technology (IT) and Transportation to drive overall supply chain excellence throughout the delivery process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Distribution Management:
Lead, support and drive results through the Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider
Manage the relationship with the 3PL with daily meetings with our 3PL distribution partners
Oversee the performance of the distribution center, both inbound and outbound processes
Ensure exceptional outcomes and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to drive continuous improvement and align with overall corporate performance requirements by playing a key operational role in promoting actions and making investments
Ensure that order fulfillment and shipping meet customer service objectives and business plan
Manage all distribution functions and allocate internal and external resources to meet service level agreements and customer service objectives through 3PL Management
Inventory Operations:
Ensure the warehouse management system to SAP system is accurate, monitor and report on any unexpected results found in analysis, and investigate root cause for any discrepancies and work with cross functional team members to resolve
Maintain optimal storage of product to meet operational needs
Identify scrap or transfer opportunities to optimize and balance among business divisions and distribution facilities
Review receiving activities to ensure accurate inventory receipt and put away and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel following up where necessary to correct

Maintain and review reports for items shipped short to the end customers, determine root cause analysis, and assist with implementation of solutions
Monitor and report any shipments which do not post goods issue and report to appropriate personnel for direction and disposition
Strategic Direction:
Create and recommend strategic plans and prepare complete action plans for the performance improvement and cost reduction of distribution activities
Implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards as defined in the contract with the 3PL
Complete performance audits of the 3PL's performance and identify performance trends and create plans to correct the performance issues
Communicate with the Director, National Operations on all aspects of operations, including any issues that may affect the success of the facility or impact to customer deliverable
Communicate and collaborate with leadership on critical issues impacting production and the workforce
Distribution Operations Systems:
Determine product handling and storage requirements
Develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures as defined in the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and the 3PL contract
ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering Required
Experience
Minimum 8 years
Managing operations in a fast-paced distribution center and leading large multi-million dollar projects Required
Software/Technical Skills
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Intermediate Required
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Intermediate Required
SAP Order Management experience Intermediate Required
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Working knowledge of Truckload, Less than Truckload (LTL) and Parcel transit process Required
Project management and large project oversight experience Required
Ability to successfully work with people at all levels of the organization Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required

The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 per year
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
