n network as it relates to cost, service and functionality. This position interfaces with outside vendor third party logistics (3PL) services and manages the vendor relationship. This role also oversees service levels and resolution of transportation issues to ensure exceptional service to customers internal and external. This position interfaces with multiple business units across the Company to enhance transportation service and analyzes and data and makes sound recommendations to meet the needs of the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage 3PL Relationship for Transportation
Manage and develop the complex 3PL relationship both contractually and through shared KPI's that link to the strategic map
Develop, analyze, and synthesize yearly initiatives outside of KPI's that are designed to create continuous improvement throughout the transportation network
Provide an operating framework of specific targets and activities that drive improvements and transparency in cost and service to customers
Carrier Management
Provide creative solutions that keep costs in-line with budgets while maintaining customer service levels by taking an active role during complex carrier pricing/contract negotiations
Partner with SCM leadership for strategic action planning in compliance penalty reduction and weather-related contingency plans
Provide transparency and communicate Brother's expectations in service to transport providers while managing spend, including quarterly business reviews with carriers
Reporting
Develop, produce and deliver monthly reporting on performance in spend and service
Communicate and coordinate team-based efforts with 3PL, DC operations and OMG to drive improvements in on-time, compliance and customer delivery issues. (damage, lost, etc.)
Create consistent repeatable and reliable performance reporting that drives actionable tasks throughout the organization when needed
Complaint Resolution and Representation
Provide resolution on escalated transportation issues to multiple business units
Acts a liaison with 3PL vendor on transportation issues
Attend customer meetings with high volume National Accounts as a representative of the Transportation department
Freight Budget Coordination
Work with SCM leadership to develop, drive, maintain and monitor annual operating budget for each business unit in freight spend
ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Supply Chain, Logistics or related field Required
Experience
Minimum 5 years Experience in a Distribution center working in a transportation role or operations role in a complex environment managing vendor relationships Required

ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid
The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $75,000.00 - $95,000k per year
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
