    Position summary

    ecuting and leading the strategic plans and initiatives for all sales and marketing operations within the division. This role drives revenue growth and increases market share across product lines within the sewing and crafting sector. It requires a strategic business leader with a strong background in P&L management, sales optimization, and profitability enhancement.

    The Vice President, Home Appliance Division manages relationships with key stakeholders, fosters a culture of collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for sales and marketing initiatives, and drives innovation, performance excellence and business growth.


    WHAT YOU'LL DO


    Strategy and Development

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the overall goals of the division and parent company.

    • Identify market opportunities and threats, leveraging data-driven insights to guide decision-making.

    • Oversee daily operations within the division, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

    • Oversee the division's P&L, ensuring effective management of revenues and expenses to meet or exceed profitability targets.

    • Analyze financial data and metrics to assess performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions, as necessary.

    • Set and manage profitability goals for the division, aligning them with overall business objectives.

    • Function as the primary liaison between the division and the parent company, ensuring effective communication and alignment of sales and marketing initiatives.

    • Share insights, best practices, and learnings from the division with the parent company and vice versa.

    • Participate in parent company strategy sessions and contribute to long-term planning.

    Sales Management

    • Oversee the sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets and drive performance.

    • Monitor and analyze profit margins, sales trends, and cost structures to develop strategies for maximizing profitability.

    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate sales performance and develop action plans to address any deficiencies.

    • Foster a high-performance sales culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, training, and development.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer relationships and industry partners to foster collaboration, increase customer satisfaction and loyalty and drive sales growth.

    Marketing Oversight

    • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and drive demand generation.

    • Collaborate with product management to ensure successful product launches and market positioning.

    • Utilize market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies and tactics.

    Leadership and Talent Management

    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of sales and marketing professionals.

    • Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and accountability.

    Reporting, Budgeting, & Forecasting

    • Prepare along with sales leaders monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for various internal groups

    • Prepare and deliver presentations for various national, regional, and global meetings

    • Lead team to manage product forecasting & supply chain activity

    • Determine annual budgets by product category in partnership with Product Management and our parent company Brother Industries (Japan)

    • Oversee sales and marketing annual programs

    • Manage the division's budget and financial performance. Monitor key financial metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed financial targets


    ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE


    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field

    • Master's Degree - Preferred

    15+ Years of Relevant Experience Spanning the Following Areas

    • Experience leading national sales function, across multiple markets and channels

    • Experience developing and executing on robust sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth

    • Experience in sales and marketing management, with a strong emphasis on P&L responsibility.

    • Experience in driving sales growth and profitability in a competitive environment.

    • Experience meeting and exceeding multi-million sales targets

    • Experience leading and managing a leadership team

    • Experience leading a cross-functional department in a global environment

    • Progressive management experience, mainly in product marketing roles that had significant involvement with various sales channels (retail, , commercial, vertical markets, value-added reseller and distribution) that served small, medium and large company markets

    • Extensive experience working with and driving the development of product line specifications, delivery, and pricing to meet market requirements

    • Prior experience developing and implementing a multi-year category plan that involves product development roadmaps, proposed marketing programs, sales forecasts, and financial analysis

    • Proven success in developing and executing innovative and disruptive go-to-market plans in a complex, matrix organization

    5+ Years of Experience Within the Sewing/Crafting Industry - Preferred

    Software/Technical Skills

    • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems (i.e. SAP C4C or Salesforce)

    Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

    • Expert knowledge in all aspects of sales management, including but not limited to: forecasting, goal setting, team planning, account mapping, resource management, time management, conducting executive briefings

    • Strong resilience and an aptitude for crafting creative strategies to achieve business growth in a declining market

    • Strong ability to strategically analyze data, think and execute on long-term action plans

    • Excellent negotiation skills

    • Excellent influence skills

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

    • Strong ability to foster great relationships across the organization, globally, and with external partners

    • Strong ability to deliver effective presentations at the executive level

    • Ability to lead, develop, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams

    • Ability to drive the organization towards its goals Required Expert knowledge of the sewing and crafting industry

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE


    This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid

    • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $250,000 - $290,000 per year

    • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data

    • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
