Responsibilities include:
Understanding customers' custom IC design, simulation and layout challenges
Guiding customer design teams regarding methodology and flows to improve their productivity
Resolving critical tool issues impacting project timelines, often collaborating with product development and peer AEs
Supporting customers with their custom design and layout flows
Conducting technical presentations, technical training, and product demonstrations to customers, including developing customized presentations as required
Supporting technical evaluations/benchmarks and driving the process to deliver Cadence solutions
Partnering with Sales Management and other AEs to identify sales opportunities, prioritize them, and help develop winning sales strategies
Developing an understanding of the customer's needs and the competition's technology and sales strategies to create solutions that best meet our needs.
Communicating customer requirements and feedback to Cadence Engineering and Marketing groups for issue resolution and to improve product features and quality
Helping customers adopt and proliferate our systems solutions including heterogeneous integration and electromagnetic and thermal analysis
Skills needed for this role:
Minimum 5 years of practical hands-on experience in simulation and layout applications for Custom IC Design. Analog, mixed-signal or RF design or layout experience.
Experience with Cadence layout tools especially with advanced node (FinFet) geometries
Experience setting up PDK's and using LVS, DRC, EMIR, EM and parasitic extraction tools are a plus
Programming and scripting skills in CSH, SKILL are a plus
Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, planning, and presentation skills are essential
Ability to work independently and productively with high-quality output and results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Must be open to constant personal development and growth to meet the evolving demands of the electronics industry
Some travel may be required and necessary
The annual salary range for Minnesota is $110,600 to $205,400. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
