Consulting on new business models and mergers and acquisitions (experience with TTA's, electronic transmission, load and leave, etc.)
Researching sales and use tax issues for various jurisdictions.
Evaluating technology automation for indirect taxes.
Position Requirements:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The capability of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing, and adhering to tight timelines.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with SAP and MS Excel (experience with RIA One Source and Taxware is a plus).
Strong sales and use tax knowledge base required especially the taxation of software, IP and hardware products and relevant tax exemptions.
Experience with property tax and Canadian HST/PST.
Experience with performing accounting reconciliations, proposing journal entries, and processing tax payments.
Experience with directly managing tax examinations. Strong negotiations skills
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in people management is a plus.
The annual salary range for California is $144,200 to $267,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
