    Job Responsibilities

    • Drive design decisions for the product and platform focusing on the advanced manufacturing technologies and solution automation to deliver best-in-class tools and flows for design automation

    • Provide technical leadership on project areas, including cross-functional flows

    • Collaborate on key architecture and design decisions

    • Lead planning, design, development, test and maintain key software enhancements, take responsibility for quality and customer delight in the capabilities delivered by the team

    • Coordinate with other Cadence teams and customers to keep development and product plans on track - good communication skills to work with remote teams and present to customers are a must

    Experience and Technical Skills required

    • 7+ years of software development experience in the area of design automation

    • Familiarity with advanced packaging technologies, place and route flows is a plus

    • Proven track record in complex software development is required, with a history of working with complex legacy code

    • Experience in collaborating with customers on developing and deploying new technologies is a plus

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    • BS in CS or EE + 5 years of related experience, or

    • MS in CS or EE + 3 years of related experience, or

    • PhD in CS or EE

    Additional qualifications

    • Practical experience developing production-quality applications in C/C++, Java, Python

    • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google cloud) is a plus

    • Experience with modern software development practices and tools

    Behavioral skills required

    • Must possess strong written, verbal and presentation skills

    • Ability to establish a close working relationship with both customer peers and management

    • Explore what's possible to get the job done, including creative use of unconventional solutions

    • Work effectively across functions and geographies

    • Push to raise the bar while always operating with integrity
