aving experience in all aspects of administering SQL Server databases in a cloud environment including: installation, maintenance, tuning, performance analysis, backup/recovery, security and high availability.

Key Responsibilities:
Understand CCC's business systems and impacts of infrastructure on business operations
Install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and support SQL Server database technologies on Azure
Ensure that database systems are implemented to meet CCC's internal and external standards and service level requirements
Ensure databases are replicated and backed up to meet CCC's operational and disaster recovery requirements
Perform database hygiene and maintenance to ensure optimum performance & availability
Design and implementation of a monitoring and automation framework to ensure optimized performance and minimize service disruption
Superior analytical and debugging skills for continued improvement of stored procedures, database scripts and applications, including conflict resolution
Document database designs and related processes
Participate in 24x7 DBA support on-call rotation
Participate in technical incident calls to restore service related to application and infrastructure problems in production environments under time-bound situations
Consulting development teams in the design of solutions to maintain performance and scalability
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job
Minimum 10 years' experience in SQL Server database administration (2008R2-2022)
Minimum 3+ years working with Azure cloud data platform
Minimum 6+ years' information systems experience in a large enterprise systems environment supporting mission-critical systems and applications
Has operated and ran a large SQL database upgrade project
Experience with SQL Server Transactional Replication
Experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn technologies (FCI and AG)
Operated a large, OLTP database handling high concurrency front ends and 5k / sec or higher throughput
Strong skills in database tuning, performance management, and database reorganization
Solid skills in backup and recovery of large databases
Deep understanding of database architecture, including new developments and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SSIS / SSRS is a plus
