of Accounting team. The Accounting team is primarily responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in month end closes including preparing revenue recognition journal entries
Review and analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and reconciliations
Prepare the revenue footnote and related disclosures
Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
Perform ad hoc analysis and reports including revenue and expense analytics
Review and improve current processes and controls, including identifying opportunities to automate and streamline workflows
Work with our external auditors to complete the quarterly reviews and year-end audit
Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP
Additionally, the senior accountant will assist in accounting research, publishing internal reports to management, and compiling balance sheet analytics
Requirements:
In order to accomplish all of this great work, the senior accountant will work with many other teams at CCC including Financial Planning & Analysis, Sales Operations, Billing & Cash Collections, Accounts Payable and our external auditors.
Bachelor's degree in accounting
4-5 years of public accounting experience
CPA required
Experience with technical accounting research
Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and ASC 606
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices
Strong Excel skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Planning and organizing
Strong communication skills
