PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, enhances and maintains rotational programs for HGS including but not limited to Pharmacy Residency Program, Sales Trainees, APPE students, etc.

  • Manages the direct activities of the pharmacy residents to assure compliance to residency accreditation standards and completion of residency objectives.

  • Ensures strong linkage of training programs to overall business initiatives and sales goals.

  • Defines and manages overall performance and stakeholder satisfaction against agreed upon KPIs and SLAs.

  • Proactively identifies areas of improvement in policies, processes, and systems.

  • Leads the selection, implementation, and management of key vendor relationships/partnerships with universities/colleges and health systems.

  • Identifies and develops/obtains resources required to build an effective team, including managing personnel needs and sales knowledge/skill development resources.

  • Manages programs at the strategic level (e.g., creations, modifications, and discontinuations) in cooperation with other key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the client's needs during conversations with economic influencers, pharmacy, supply chain and the C-Suite.

  • Must be willing to travel extensively across various territories for project and assistance assignment; travels to events such as conferences, client meetings.

  • Manages the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment and experienced coaching.

  • Develops diverse, industry-leading talent. Partners with Human Resources and Sales Operations to attract, hire, retain, and develop sales associates using all available resources.

  • Conducts performance reviews in accordance with Cencora policies and performance management procedures, coaches and counsels sales associates on their goals, achievements and areas for improvement.

  • Accountable for the performance of projects within the portfolio through subordinate managers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 - 7+ years of work experience, including managing projects and at least 3 years of leadership experience.

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (BS Pharm) from an accredited institution required.

• PGY1 residency and at least two (2) years pharmacy practice experience; or PGY1 + PGY2 with one year of experience; or five (5) years of experience

• Must have current Pharmacist License in designated state

Highly Preferred Skills And Experiences

o Supply chain experience

o Advanced degree in Pharmacy (MS/MBA, MPharm, PharmD) from an accredited institution.

o Board Certification (BCPS or BC in related Specialty Area (BCGP, BCCP)

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of project management best practices and proficiency with supporting project management tools

• Strong knowledge in pharmacy residency training requirements and accreditation services, pharmacy APPE and internship programs.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both individual and group settings.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

• Strong decision-making skills

• Strong leadership skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and business software (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, Clarity, MS Project, Team Foundation Server, Jira)

• Knowledge in pharmaceutical preparations; drug therapy review and evaluation; drug information sources, retrieval and interpretation; medication use evaluation; use of evidence-based protocols; adverse drug reaction reporting and evaluation; disease state management; and formulary management.

• Capable of providing a world class learner experience and drive successful outcomes, must have an exceptional ability to learn and understand each business to determine the delivery strategy that will best meet their needs.

• Possesses the ability to balance a willingness to engage with ideas different from their own, encouragement of others to express divergent perspectives, the capability to influence, conflict management, and teamwork.

• Highly adaptable to a changing environment.
