Position summary


  • Provides feedback on the target technical specifications from testability and feasibility point of view.

  • Evaluates quality of business requirements for medium to large projects based on Business Requirement Document (BRD), use cases and/or solution design documents.

  • Upp Sorts and helps establish systems environment standards, and quality parameters and targets.

  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to create a structured project test plan for all functional and technical system components, and defines assumptions, risks and user acceptance criteria.

  • Assists in coding and documenting custom testing frameworks and requirement traceability matrix.

  • Assists with setup and maintenance of test environments for both manual and automated testing.

  • Leverages automated testing suites, explores edge cases and drives quality with development teams.

  • Gathers test result data, assigns severity levels to issues, and documents accurate system response.

  • Performs initial analysis of defects, conducts root cause analysis, and escalates issues as per protocols.

  • Establishes processes and tool sets to maintain automation scripts and generates regular test reports for faster bug tracking and rapid reporting.

  • Partners with senior quality engineers to simplify and modernize testing tools and techniques to ensure code maximum coverage and constantly improve the ways of testing the products.

  • Actively participates in requirement/design reviews; identifies gaps during reviews and probes for detailed explanation of expectations.

What your background should look like



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Associate in Software Testing

  • Certified Software Quality Analyst

  • Certified Test Engineer


  • 2+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in system/software quality and testing.
