What you'll do:
Interpret and verify medication orders with precision and accuracy.
Review prescriber medication orders for appropriate dosing, scheduling, contraindication, allergy, drug interaction, and/or incompatibility problems.
Communicate effectively with Veterinarians, their staff, Pet Parents as the needed.
Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and interns. Provide ongoing training and coaching as needed.
Maintain accurate records to follow federal and state legal requirements and pharmacy policies
Uphold operational standards, including performance metrics, safety and compliance
Perform additional duties and assignments as advised by management.
Position may require travel
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Active pharmacist license in the state of {{site location}} with license in good standing and other states and credentials as needed.
Strong customer services and attention to detail
Ability to manage a team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
