You will work cross-functionally with a talented team of stakeholders including brand managers, merchandising partners, R&D, instock management, quality and finance to drive our private brands business.

What you'll do:

  • Drive category ownership including supplier selection, operational performance, relationship management and financial goals.

  • Influence up, down and across the organization to improve category metrics and supplier performance.

  • Partner on the evaluation, design, and development of sourcing capabilities across source to pay.

  • Contribute to roadmap development by bringing robust insights on market trends and industry leading technologies to enhance our assortment portfolio.

  • Manage relationships with external suppliers upholding high operating and quality standards.

  • Travel domestically and represent Chewy in industry forums, shows, etc.

  • Drive cost and quality improvements. Be an excellent negotiator.

  • Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with domestic and international federal, state, and local laws, regulations and ordinances.

  • Conduct responsible sourcing across all products, drive sustainability, and high-quality product development.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong Analytical skills and detail orientation.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of sourcing category ownership, preferably in e-commerce or Retail.

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing in Food space (preferred pet food).

  • In-depth working knowledge of co-manufacturing relationships.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Experience with data driven decision making and cost P&L ownership.

  • Ability to travel 30%+.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.

Base Salary Range

$91,000-$168,500 USD
