Position summary

  • Partner with internal software teams to integrate with other automation and warehouse systems

  • Work with internal operations partners to acquire system feedback and measure system performance

  • Develop modular, highly available, secure, performant, reliable, and scalable production-ready systems using the latest technologies available

  • Test concepts and features through simulators, emulators, and with live equipment

  • Leverage and champion best practices that enable automated test and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science, Engineering or related field)

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience

  • Experience with the design (data structures, algorithms, performance, reliability, and scalability) and development of new software programs

  • Ability to program in Java, Python, or other related modern programming language

  • Experience with cloud native technology stacks such as AWS

  • Experience designing scalable RESTful services and APIs

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipeline including containerization, configuration management, and deployment

  • Ability to simultaneously support multiple high priority projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel to Chewy fulfillment centers

Bonus (if applicable):

  • Experience designing and building software for robotic systems and industrial automation

  • Experience with AWS IoT services

  • Experience with scalable deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.

Base Salary Range

$120,500-$193,500 USD
