What You'll Do:
Perform or supervise formulations bench work across all formulations and batch processing capabilities
Perform and document formulations research according to USP < 795>, USP < 797> , and USP < 800> requirements and industry standard processes
Collect and provide continuous feedback and documentation on new or existing formulations
Assist with creation and management of master formulation records, including creation and approval of master formulation record data and perform continuous improvement projects related to formulations
Review and approve ingredient receipts including certificate of analysis review, adjustment and pack stat information
Perform and assist with quality holds including batch review, analytical testing review, and quality hold release
Review quality related events, perform investigations, and provide customer outreach
Assist with quality investigations including corrective and preventive action (CAPA)
Perform and supervise document and data audits
Collaborate with other pharmacy teams across the network to drive continuous improvement
Manage other duties as assigned based on business need
What You'll Need:
Strong working knowledge of compounding including master formulation records, compounding records, certificate of analysis review, and quality related events and USP < 795>, USP < 797>, and USP < 800>
Attention to detail and technical/analytical skills including use of Excel or ability to learn these skills
Current Kentucky Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
Physical Requirements:
Must have visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
Required to wear PPE for long periods of time when required
Compounding associates may be exposed to hazardous chemicals used in the preparation of compounds (some are classified as hazardous and/or toxic by the National Institute for Safety and Health and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals)
This position will require periods of sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching and walking, and sometimes long periods of standing
Able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
Desired Experience:
5+ Years Compounding Experience
