Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in school and college activities such as, but not limited to, developing new curriculum or student recruitment.
Collaborate with faculty and staff from other schools/departments to promote communication, coordinate schedules, and support student success.
Collaborate with high schools, universities, business and industry or external agencies as appropriate, and assist with program advisory committees as requested.
Support collegiality by actively participating in the professional development of new and veteran faculty (for example, mentoring, peer observations).
Serve on department, school, and college committees and task teams.
Participate in and assist with student activities and clubs.
Participate in other activities as appropriate and approved by the dean.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or related area from an accredited institution
OR
Bachelor's degree in a CIS-related area with current nationally recognized industry certifications and two (2) years of related experience
Preferences:
Cloud Infrastructure experience, including virtualization, configuration, maintenance, and security.
Previous experience teaching and training in Cloud Technology.
Recent industry experience in Cloud Technology.
Previous teaching experience at a community college or post-secondary level.
Previous experience and continuing ability to teach online and utilize current technology.
Certified with current industry (AWS Cloud Architect, Windows Server Administration) certifications
Previous experience teaching in Computer hardware and software courses, including PC maintenance and networking.
