Participate in projects to perform LAN/WAN implementations, upgrades and conversion projects.
Work on related projects which includes planning, design, testing and implementation, and often includes coordination of all CNM staff involved in the project, oversight of contractors and involvement in procurement activities.
Participate in training opportunities for network administrators to maintain qualifications to work with current technologies in use at CNM.
Monitor network performance and security, resolving issues proactively.
Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Implement and enforce network security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to users on network-related matters, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to plan and execute network projects and initiatives and troubleshoots with other CNM ITS groups.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network administration.
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
OR
Associate's Degree
OR
Three (3) to seven (7) years of related experience.
Degrees in Computer Science or related industry are preferred
Preferences:
Degrees in Management Information Systems or related industry will be given preference
Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
