Subject to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and College's HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures, I assist the CNM health plan with day-to-day activities involving protected health information. These activities include assisting with employee claims, coordinating benefits, determining health claim status, determining eligibility for coverage, budgeting and renewal, billing and collection activities, obtaining assistance from third-parties for plan functions, and any other duties delegated by the HIPAA Privacy or Security Officer.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional Duties:
Event Support: Help execute on-campus and off-campus events, including New Student Orientation, Fall Festival, Graduation, Suncat Days, and Paloozas. This may involve setting up, managing event logistics, working with attendees, and offering support wherever necessary.
Promotional Activities: Distribute flyers, posters, and other promotional materials at high-traffic locations both on and off-campus to raise awareness and drive attendance for key events and initiatives.
Student Engagement: Engage with current and prospective students, as well as community members, by speaking to them about college events, programs, and initiatives. Answer questions and provide information in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
Social Media Engagement: Assist with social media campaigns by sharing event-related content, engaging with posts, and creating excitement online. Represent the college's voice across digital platforms to build awareness and foster engagement.
Brand Ambassador: Serve as a positive representative of the college, helping to maintain and promote a strong, student-centered brand on campus and within the surrounding community.
Voice of the Student: Collect feedback and insights from students about campus life, events, and student success initiatives, and relay these to the Student Success team.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support each other in achieving the goals of the Street Team, including brainstorming and executing ideas for event promotion and student engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Must be successfully enrolled in a degree program.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Current student enrolled at the college, with Financial Aid Student Employment
Enthusiastic, energetic, and approachable personality with a passion for student engagement and college events.
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to talk to diverse groups of students and community members.
Comfortable with social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and content creation for digital platforms.
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage time effectively.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on event needs.
Must be able to work both on-campus and off-campus for events and promotional activities.
Prior experience in event planning, marketing, or student leadership roles.
Familiarity with the college's programs, services, and initiatives.
Interest in marketing, communications, and student success efforts.
