Serves as a communication link and faculty liaison.
Guides students in selecting and using material to meet learning needs.
Maintains a weekly calendar of available hours for student appointments.
Maintains instructional materials (e.g., textbooks, calculators, software, etc.).
Collects and analyzes data.
Participates in required tutor training.
Provides supervision in the absence of a Learning Center Supervisor as delegated and assists TLC Management with recruiting, screening, hiring, orienting, mentoring, and retaining new peer (student), and/or volunteer tutors.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of thirty (30) hours of postsecondary course work to include a minimum of nine (9) hours in Writing, Reading, or Education, content courses must be completed with a grade of B or better.
Preferences
Bilingual - Spanish speaker
Experience tutoring or teaching adult learners
Experience tutoring or teaching online
Experience working with adults with special needs
Able to tutor both English and Math at a High School level
