Job Responsibilities
Cultivate and develop opportunities to incorporate safe work practices into daily working routine; assist others in identifying and adhering to established safety procedures; be mindful of potential safety issues and report them immediately to a Supervisor, Safety Committee member or Group Health and Safety Manager
Responsible for assisting and supporting of existing business while actively calling on Landscape Architects, Architects, Engineers, government agencies, municipalities, general contractors, site developers, and any business type related to the hardscapes commercial construction field that will help grow market share
Set up and conduct Lunch and Learn presentations in pursuit of specifications
Schedule frequent presentations at which CEU credits will be earned
Coordinate, attend/exhibit at appropriate trade shows
Ensure that all major and mid-level A&E firms' libraries are current with APG Canada West literature, binders and product samples
Coordinate specifications and project leads with the sales manager and sales team
Technically support APGCW sales team to close the commercial project sale
Responsible for developing the commercial ICP, PICP, CMHA, Segment Retaining Wall (SRW)
Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving
Establish relationships with team and key stakeholders
Understand sales process within the design community
Introduce new products and modularity program
Contribute to product documentation and training materials
Use and understand design software specific to PICP
Vetting and cold calling leads developed through sources such as CMD Insight and SalesForce
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
Basic understanding of the subcontractor and negotiated contractor (design build) sales approach
Equivalent work experience, training, education and/or a related field or function
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Will be required to speak effectively before large groups of employees, architectural and engineering firms and trade associations
Strong computer Skills
Ability to travel within Province with occasional overnight trips
Preferred experience in commercial ICP/PICP, Segmental Retaining Walls, processes and materials
Ability to analyze and decipher blueprints, job specifications, and utilize REED Connect and other lead generation services
Excellent relationship management /Communication skills both internally and externally
Time Management and multi-tasking skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and problem solve
Compensation
Base salary is $80,000 - $90,000
