What You'll Do
Lead & Support Branch Accounting
Oversee the Branch Accounting and Cost Accounting functions while performing hands‑on general accounting duties.
Ensure daily operations align with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives.
Own Project Accounting
Accurately record project billings, subcontractor payments, and maintain lien rights and contract collections.
Maintain key Excel-based tools for pay estimates, subcontractor costs, backlog, and material tracking.
Analyze daily/weekly/monthly cost data and identify variances from budget.
Set up new project budgets and process change orders in Viewpoint.
Ensure Accuracy & Resolve Issues
Investigate and resolve invoice or reporting discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting, or other assigned sections.
Assist with internal and external audits and identify trends or deviations from standards.
Drive Financial Insight
Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
Partner directly with Operations to guide revenue, margin projections, and financial performance across multiple construction projects.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
3+ years of construction accounting experience preferred.
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel; SQL or MS Query experience is a plus.
Strong analytical abilities and clear, effective communication skills.
A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate across departments.
