Provide support to fellow customer service reps., as well as back up role for lead dispatcher.
May require rotating shift.
Assist with scheduling employee vacations and employee required doctor visits.
Must keep an equipment log at all times to track location of all equipment.
Analyzing information for continuous improvement, including ability to assist with utility locate updates.
Manage and control daily workload through good dispatching procedures such as answering multiple calls, email correspondence in a courteous and respectful manner from all departments within the organization.
Maintain and log payroll entries for truck drivers using payroll system.
Good at problem solving and working collaboratively with others.
Excellent customer service skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management.
Demonstrated, effective skills in dealing with employees at all levels.
Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors/managers with other duties as required.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience
Minimum high school/general education degree (GED) required
Previous related experience in dispatch for transportation industry preferred
3 - 5 years dispatch experience
Work Requirements
Dispatch software preferred
Handle multiple task concurrently and perform well under pressure
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Strong written and oral communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Prioritiy emphasis and strong time management skills
Strong computer skills

Extensive radio and phone conversation.
Bend: flexion of the upper trunk forward while standing and knees extended or knees flexed when sitting.
Reach: extend the hands and arms in any direction.
Work Environment

Will work between a standard office and field operations environment.
