• At least 2-3 years of e xperience in construction, mining, manufacturing, or related industries, including participation in safety initiatives and familiarity with OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
• Comfortable speaking to diverse individuals and groups in delivering safety-related information.
• Ability to identify both safe and unsafe practices and to support peers by offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
• A genuine interest in advancing workplace safety and helping others stay safe on the job.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and openness to learning new software and systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA 10 & 30, OSHA 500/510, MSHA certifications or equivalent safety-related training.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of company safety programs.
• Help conduct site safety audits and contribute to delivery of hazard awareness initiatives.
• Assist in reviewing and following up on incident reports by identifying contributing factors and improvement opportunities.
• Help reinforce Human Performance principles through communication, education, and on-site engagement.
• Maintain an excellent field presence to strengthen the safety culture, monitor safe work practices, and reinforce desired safe behaviors and habits.
• Provide support in implementing industrial hygiene practices, such as respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and silica exposure awareness.
• Assist with preparing safety-related materials and communications using Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, Teams, and other platforms.
• Support the coordination and delivery of safety training and help with documentation and logistics.
• Help facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Provide support for employee engagement programs and initiatives that promote safety culture.
• Demonstrate consistent, timely attendance and active participation in team activities.
• Ability to connect with people to establish and contribute/maintain to an inclusive, respectful work
environment.
Shift differential may apply - job requires ability to work any shift and the ability to work in GA and SC dependent on the project.
