    Job Description Summary

    • Seeking an asphalt laborer who will be responsible for shoveling and raking asphalt material along with other responsibilities as needed

    Requirements

    • Physical ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8-12 hours

    • The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers

    • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task

    • Properly follow all Company policies and OSHA guidelines for a safe working environment

    • Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project

    • Operate and maintain various vehicles, machinery and other equipment used on the job site

    • Must be able to shovel and rake asphalt material

    • Responsible for upkeep of tools and work area

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town/county/state work may be required

    • Ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with ability to learn in a fast paced environment

    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job

    • Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public

    • Must pass drug test and background check

    Education/Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
