y maintenance tasks based on the highest priority needs and ensures their timely and efficient completion by Maintenance Technicians
Reviews compliance to planned work orders through maintenance management software system and reports status updates to management
Maintains up to date and accurate maintenance data, including records of all maintenance and repair activities conducted, purchase orders for spare/replacement parts and spare parts inventory
Ensures spare part lists are available for all existing equipment and new installations and equipment is consistent and compatible with reliability enhancements
Maintains frequent contact with production staff to ensure proper functioning of all equipment and the timely completion of previously communicated maintenance needs
Develops and implements standardized maintenance repair techniques and preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the most effective and efficient methods are in use
Plans and schedules preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment functionality and limit machine malfunctions and downtime
Identifies and proactively addresses safety concerns and enforces staff compliance with safety regulations for maintenance employees and contractors brought on site
Implement, authorize and review all safety permits pertaining to maintenance of equipment
Ensures all new employees receive necessary safety and technical training to ensure efficient ramp up into maintenance roles
Oversees the work of site contractors and ensures adherence to established safety and operations procedures
Respond to weekend calls and organize weekly schedules for employees' time off, weekend coverage and shift coverage
Maintains accurate employee attendance and performance information and authorizes work schedules for payroll
Effectively communicate with employees and management through shift pass down meetings, OPL, VOP's, Damage Reports, Accident Reports, emails, text messages, etc.
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees
Strong listening and clear communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented environment
Forklift and Crane Certification or ability to obtain is required
Welding skills preferred
Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
Ability to review and understand machine blueprints/ schematics
Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment
Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree OR industrial maintenance certifications preferred
Must have experience in the maintenance field, at least 2 years is preferred
Must have previous supervisory or leadership experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes and using fractions
