What Shared Services Does:
A Shared Services Center (SSC) centralizes essential business processes, creating streamlined operations, cost efficiencies, and consistent quality. By consolidating areas such as finance, procurement, payroll, and reporting, SSC fosters innovation, supports strategic goals, and enhances organizational effectiveness. SSC's primary functions include:
O2C (Order-to-Cash): Ensures smooth revenue processes from customer order to payment.
R2R (Record-to-Report): Provides accurate financial reporting and robust accounting processes.
P2P (Procure-to-Pay): Ensures timely payments to vendors and strengthens supplier relationships.
Center of Excellence: Champions innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Shared Services empowers companies to focus on strategic priorities while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Master Data Management
Review and provide guidance on the creation, updating, and maintenance of master data records (such as Vendor, Customer, and Material) within ERP and MDM systems.
Accurately process master data requests in compliance with defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Conduct audit checks to ensure that all required documentation is complete and properly attached.
Follow approved workflows and authorization levels for accessing data mass load updates.
Project Management
Assist in the development and maintenance of projects.
Coordinate meetings, workshops, and design sessions.
Track action items, dependencies, and deliverables across workstreams.
Ensure alignment of activities with defined project timelines.
Support preparation of:
Presentations
Status reports
Meeting materials
Design review packs
Data Quality & Validation
Validate master data against defined standards, rules, and controls.
Identify and resolve data quality issues such as duplicates, missing or incorrect attributes, and invalid classifications.
Perform routine data cleansing and reviews.
Escalate complex or high-risk issues to the MDM Manager.
Governance & Compliance
Adhere to master data governance policies and procedures.
Support segregation of duties and compliance requirements.
Ensure all changes are auditable and traceable.
Participate in executing controls and assist with audit requests as needed.
Process & Workflow Execution
Execute standardized master data processes.
Follow approval workflows and established escalation paths.
Support exception handling within defined governance thresholds.
Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and propose improvements.
Documentation & Enablement
Create standard operating and desktop procedures to align with MDM governance and compliance controls.
Maintain accurate work instructions and templates.
Support training and knowledge transfer activities.
Stay current with process and system changes
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience working with SAP or equivalent ERP in a shared services environment required.
Experience in finance and accounting functions required.
Prior experience in Master Data Management preferred.
Skills:
Strong understanding of master data concepts.
Experience with ERP/MDM tools and workflows.
Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
Proficiency with workflows, swim lanes, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in project management coordination.
Familiarity with R2R (Record to Report), P2P (Procure to Pay), or O2C (Order to Cash) processes preferred.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills
Clear and effective written and verbal communication
Commitment to governance, controls, and data quality standards
Team‑oriented mindset with a strong service focus
Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment
