What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Equipment Repair & Diagnostics
Diagnose issues and perform durable, cost‑effective repairs across a wide variety of equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and gasoline systems, including engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
Dismantle equipment to access and repair defective parts using hoists, hand tools, and mechanical systems.
Maintenance & Preventative Care
Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter changes, and scheduled inspections.
Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, on‑site shop tools, and non‑mobile equipment across the company.
Parts, Inventory & Documentation
Order and track parts, manage purchase orders and invoices, and keep accurate repair records.
Use computer systems to support diagnostics, work orders, and parts management.
Fabrication & Testing
Adjust functional components, install new structural and functional parts, and weld broken components when needed.
Test and inspect equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to the field.
Worksite Standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Support company safety policies and participate in safety programs.
Position may require drug screening, medical exams, and physical agility testing.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Five or more years of mechanic experience, preferably with heavy construction equipment including Komatsu, CAT, water trucks, light‑duty support vehicles, and small‑engine machinery.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills-works well independently or with others.
Ability to perform basic math functions and follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
Basic computer skills: familiarity with database systems is helpful.
Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements
This role involves hands‑on work in a shop and field environment. You may be required to:
Sit, climb, crawl, kneel, bend, or stand for portions of the workday.
Lift or move up to50 lbs as needed.
Use close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision to perform diagnostics and inspections.
Work Environment
You'll work indoors and outdoors with heavy equipment. At times you may encounter:
Hot or cold weather
Noise from machinery
Wet or humid conditions
Moving mechanical parts
